The Arcadia Mill

The Arcadia Mill site, located one mile north of Highway 90 between Milton and Pace, represents the first and largest early-American water-powered industrial complex in Florida. Operating between 1817 and 1855, the site included mills, shops, a mule-drawn railroad and a 16-mile log flume. Arcadia played a pivotal role in the political and economic development of Northwest Florida.  (source UWF Press Release)
