Our Camping Picks

Outdoor Gulf Coast Fan Picks

We've asked our Fans what camping areas they like best on the coast. Here's our fan picks.

  • Topsail Hill Preserve State Park - located near Destin, Florida - Peggy writes, "It is a new campground and very nice, within walking distance of the water."
  • Grayton Beach State Park - located near Destin, Florida - Dave writes, "Grayton Beach is one of my favorites....sqeaky sand!"
  • Karick Lake & Coldwater - Ron writes, "I would have to list two favorite camping areas in Blackwater. 1st would be Karick Lake: It is a hidden jewel in our area. The facilities are the best maintained than any campground that I've used. It also is the start of the Jackson Trail which gives you access to the Florida National Scenic Trail (FNST)... The 2nd would be primative camping on the Coldwater..."
  • Krul Lake - Peggy writes, "I like Krul too, especially if you have kids and during the warmer months as there is a neat place to swim as well as hike. But no dogs are allowed there so I don't stay there very often."
